Women's General Conference Session

There was much counsel and comfort given to us at this meeting ... Let me share 3 with you
  1. Always remember that we are Treasured Daughters of our Heavenly Father...
  2. Focus on what we can do and not on what we can't do ...
  3. Let us be an instrument to the Lord to answer others prayers ...
(thoughts given by President Dieter Uchtdorf, 2nd Counselor in the 1st Presidency of the LDS Church )

While Alina and I were being uplifted and edified by the wonderful speakers at the Women's General Conference Session,
Cache was enjoying a night with Dad and Grandpa ...
Thanks Alina for making the extra effort to come up to Salt Lake City and to enjoy the conference with me ...
Also to Rich and Grandpa for being such great troopers with Cache while we were gone!

Hmm ... what should I draw next!

Boy, I did so good with my left foot, maybe I should try it with my right hand ...

Look at what I did Grandma! I'm so proud of myself ...

I'm just hanging here with dad & grandpa ! See i'm a Packers Fan just like them!

Happy Anniversary ... Boy, has it been 6 or 60 years? You be the judge!

Look what God has given to all of us to enjoy this fall season ...How beautiful it is!
It felt so good to get away from the city life and enjoy the country ..
For the ones who don't live in Utah, here are some pictures to enjoy, for the ones who do live in Utah, if you haven't had a chance to go up to one of the canyons, please take the time before the leaves all fall on the ground and the color is gone .. enjoy the color and the wonderful clear air ... it is just spectacular and the kids will enjoy it too and you will be creating memories!

The pictures above and below were taken in Emigration Canyon up in Salt Lake City UT on our anniversary (Sunday Sept 28, 2008). We had a fun time hiking and taking pictures ...
Enjoy til next time ..

NOTE: A BLAST FROM THE PAST

This brings back fond memories for me of when Jeremy, Melinda, and Alina were younger. We used to go up the canyon, take pictures, pick some twigs with leaves on them, then take them home and put them on the table, in a vase to enjoy. The kids would pick a leaf, put the leaf under a piece of paper, pick a crayon and rub the crayon over the paper, it would leave an imprint of the leaf. How simple and awesome is that?! They sure loved doing it and so did I as their mother.
